CLEAR stands for Communities Leveraging Evidence for Action and Resources. CLEAR was a project of BESURE. We studied the strengths of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people in and around Baltimore City. We also studied health, social, and service needs.
CLEAR had three parts:
1) Learning about the health and wellbeing of transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse people in Baltimore. You can take part in surveys and interviews. We are also excited to share what we learn. Here are some of our findings!
Our survey was about the wellness of trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse people in Baltimore. It asked about physical, behavioral, and sexual health. It also asked about stigma, discrimination, social supports, and resilience.
2) Connection to trans-friendly services. We can connect you with local organizations. They might be able to help with housing, jobs, health, or other services. To learn more, please call 410-920-0930. You can also access the Resource Guide we use here.
3) Individual and community skills training. These build on what we learn from studies to help improve local resources.
